Employment Scout comes with the following features to help you during your job search campaign:

  • Employment Opportunities - You need a place to start.  Employment Scout comes packed with places to look to help you locate the types of jobs and locations you are interested in.

It's not uncommon to run out of time submitting resumes and filling out applications before you run out of employment opportunities that you locate with the help of Employment Scout.  It even allows you to add your own places to look if new ones come along.  That means 10 or 15 years down the road you can still keep Employment Scout relevant and current.

  • Company information allows you to organize which companies you apply to during your campaign.

What companies did you apply to and what did you apply for?  Maybe you thought a company has you on file or on the mind of some hiring manager.  Find out quickly with Employment Scout.  In an instant you can find out what companies you applied to, what positions, and key events that took place.

  • Contacts allows you to keep track of all the different people you meet and come into contact with. There are those in HR, the hiring manager, the different departments and potential associates you may be working with.

Enter them into Employment Scout so it can help save you the embarrassment of recalling who is who and what company they are associated with in the event you hear from them again some time down the road.  You even get the ability to add notes and contact information for each and every person within the company that you associate with.  When hiring decisions happen carefully and slowly within the organization, the relevant contact person can be quickly retrieved again through Employment Scout to refresh your memory on their position, key points that made them interested in you in the past, and what their future plans and needs were.  This is power for you as you sell yourself on being on top of their needs as it propels you above your competition!

  • Job Posts allow you to organize which particular job openings you apply to within organizations for those companies that post multiple job openings for which you feel qualified to apply for.

These can occur simultaneously or over a span of time.  Employment Scout will store them by company.  This is an essential feature of Employment Scout as it will remember exactly what you applied for and when.  Come job interview time, this area will list what the company's needs are, the job description itself, and the qualifications the company needs from you.  You will have all this vital information on hand as you prepare yourself for the job interview and sell yourself to the hiring manager on how you are the best fit for the company and for that position.  Contrast that with the other applicants who go to the interview with a broad overview of what the company is looking for, along with a bit of uncertainty about how they fit into the picture.

  • Powerful Search engine.

This is what Employment Scout is all about.  You may spend weeks or months entering companies, contacts, and job postings.  One day you are called in for an interview.  The Search feature will help you to quickly retrieve the company and job posting for which you applied.  Employment Scout will help you prepare for the job interview by helping you go over the key points the company advertised for in the job posting. You place yourself above the competition by planning a strategy of how you will convince your hiring manager how you meet those qualifications.

With Employment Scout, you can enter full or partial names and phone numbers, and in an instant you will be presented with a short list of matches that you select from to pull up entire records about a company, it's people, and job postings.  Ditto for the job postings themselves.  You can enter phrases, words, or partial words, and the Employment Scout search engine will present you with a list of matches for jobs you applied for, the dates you applied, how you heard about the job opening, the job posting details, the company that posted the job, and people relevant to that company.

  • Getting Started and complete context sensitive help system to help get you up and running in Employment Scout.

This sounds like a pretty complex system and it is!  Goldmount Enterprises helps orient you into the application with easy to read introductions and details along with generous picture illustrations help get you through the learning curve and make your job search campaign productive.

Sure there are alternatives to using Employment Scout, but riding a bicycle to work on a rainy day is also an alternative to driving a car, isn't it?  Just because there are other ways to do it, doesn't make it the most practical choice.
